Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
A strong interest in the construction process, specifically design/build, tilt-up concrete, industrial buildsPrevious experience in construction preferred, but not required. Seeking mentorship is a plus.
- Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
- GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required
- Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
- Take ownership of project successes from start to finish, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, billing, design coordination, cost tracking, safety, and proposal development.
- Deliver Accurate, Impactful Estimates β Prepare detailed, reliable project estimates that lay the foundation for successful execution.
- Collaborate on Vision and Innovation β Work closely with clients and design teams to shape preliminary concepts into high-impact, buildable solutions.
- Influence the Big Picture β Participate in proposal meetings, helping to refine scope, reduce costs, and offer value-driven engineering insights.
Drive, foster, and display clear communication skills.
On-Site β Facilitate bi-weekly site meetings to align teams, resolve challenges, and keep progress on track.
You’ll learn to be proficient in reading blueprints. Must be able to clearly communication with the ability to give direction without hogging the ball from the team.Β Highly skillful leaders not flashy ball hogs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing job crew times in and out.
- Meet labor production goals.
- Demand quality over quantity with an emphasis on urgency.
- Monitor field crew, cell phone and electronic usage during work hours, vehicles, and job sites.
- Job site, in house facility safety, and association meetings.
- Procure materials for jobs per inventory management, company objectives.
- Manage start and stop dates for projects, manage project costs, labor costs, and profitable material dealer relationships.
- Understand the basics of profit and loss statements and Job Costing as a strategy to bonus and success.
- Work with project team to ensure timely completion and accuracy of project information and targets
- Organize and participate in project meetings with staff, owners, architects, and trade partners
- Prepare contracts and change orders to limit expenses and lock in rates in favor of our organization.
- Prepare and communicate monthly variance cost/budget reports to the management team.
- Provide oversight for all phases of construction, including safety, staffing, and ensuring contract documents are being followed and work is on schedule and within budget.
- Foster strong partnership with ownership to help us continue to build repeat customers.
- Produce and assist in close-out documentation daily.
- Fixed and variable Inventory tracking and ordering.
- Competently manage various construction management software platforms. (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project)
